Emma and I were really looking forward to John and Grace’s wedding – not only because we love weddings but because they were holding their reception at a beautiful winery….and we love wine!
We arrived at Graces parent’s house where Grace and her bridesmaids were getting ready. There was certainly a buzz in the house – everyone was looking forward to the day ahead. After photographing Grace’s bridal details we met John at St Paul’s Church in Wokingham. He was beaming and greeting guests as they arrived. We took some shots with John before setting up and waiting for Grace to arrive.
The ceremony was beautiful with hymns and readings. John and Grace looked so happy to be amongst their friends and family, it was really nice to see. Once outside we lined the wedding party along the path for a confetti shot before heading to Stanlake Park Wine Estate. The venue looks stunning and the wedding party were greeted with glasses of Prosecco. After the group shots were took the John and Grace away for some couple shots……and then the heavens decided to open as we were amongst the vines! We ran back into the barn where their wedding breakfast was being held and stayed there until the guests came over.
After the wedding breakfast and some very funny and original speeches….(I didn’t know John and his bestman Luke had a radio station show while at University!) we took them outside again for some golden hour shots (oh the light was good!) before capturing the evening guests arriving and some games on the lawn. After the Pimm’s reception for their evening guests John and Grace took to the dance floor for their first dance before they all danced the night away. The DJ was amazing and the dance floor was packed!
