Today was the day Cedric and Silvia were getting married. They had planned a big party but in true Covid style they had to reduce their numbers significantly. This didn’t dampen their spirits as they still had close friends and family joining them. Marrying was the most important part of the day and because they had to rearrange they decided on Bracknell Council Offices. The restrictions inside were very strict purely due to the fact the ceremony room was so small! I could only photograph outside the room (a first for me) so luckily I had one camera propped up on a bag in the room – controlling it remotely via my iPhone and I photographed with my other camera through the door! Wasn’t expecting to do that so thinking on your feet and knowing your equipment inside out certainly helped!
The ceremony was very relaxed and special for the happy couple. Afterwards we made our way back to Cedric and Silvia’s home where they had a marquee outside filled with drinks and food. Everyone was enjoying themselves laughing, chatting outside and the weather was holding so we decided to start photographing their group shots. There was a mixture of formal and fun ones (I’ve included some below!) and then we finished with Cedric and Silvia’s couple shots. We did all these in their garden and I had a little help with the reflector which worked a treat!
This was another example of how Covid wasn’t going to beat this couple’s determination to get married. I must admit since I have been photographing smaller weddings recently it has made me realised it doesn’t matter how many people are there – just as long as you have the ones that count and most importantly of all…….get married.
Congratulations to you both – your day was magical.
