Date: April 2019
Location: Bracknell, Berkshire (in the bluebells!)
Lauren contacted me after receiving a gift voucher from a work colleague and really wanted to book her shoot during the ‘bluebell season’ so that’s exactly what we did. She wanted photos of her, her husband and her new baby boy. Lauren (great name by the way…!) had an interest in flowers so a bluebell shoot was perfect. We met early in the morning in a secluded area of Bracknell which was great as it kept distracts to a minimum.
I am always conscious when photographing in bluebells that they need to be respected so we kept to the paths and found areas that looked like they were sitting on bluebells…. but they weren’t (tricks of the trade!). For anyone who has a bluebell shoot booked or decides they would like to go out and shoot some please take care and avoid stepping on them. I’ve heard that sometimes they will not grow back next season if they have been badly damaged.
We shot a mixture of portrait and more natural photographs so they had a lovely mixture to choose their final images from. It was so much fun and I love photographing on location capturing families interacting with each-other. Their 6 month old baby was delightful and really good for the hour we had outside. He was a little trooper!
Looking forward to seeing which images they decide on….. I have my favourites and some are below.
Love Lauren x
