The Great House in Sonning located in Berkshire and I had the pleasure of working there last August during the bank holiday when it reached 35 degrees! The venue backs onto the River Thames so your guests can take a scroll in the evening along the banks to explore. Couples have even hired private boats to take their guests out on the river just before sunset – works great for couples shots too!
There are a couple of buildings the wedding party can get dressed in during the morning and these work really well as are close enough for the wedding party to liaise between the rooms if needed but also separate enough that you won’t be seen!

I’ve used the banks of the river during golden hour for couple shots and this has works so well. This also means you have a little time to chat about the day so far. This has to be one of my favourite venues to photograph at. Lovely light, lots of interest and of course the Thames. It also makes for some cracking sunset shots.

Hats off to the team there. They are pleasant, approachable and easy to work with making sure your day is a great one. Should you wish to see more please visit the venue website: The Great House
Please contact me to discuss your wedding photography at The Great House as I would love to hear all about your wedding plans and secure your date.
