Elise and I were photographing the wedding of the lovely Graham and Sam today at the Windsor Guildhall. Sam had decided to get ready at the gorgeous Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire, interestingly in the same suite they filmed the first Bridget Jones film!
Sam was in great spirits and really looking forward to seeing Graham in a few hours. Tonya her Maid of Honour was also getting ready in the room and the ladies were having a great time. After shooting the bridal preparations we headed over to the Guildhall to find our Groom Graham (try saying that quick!) greeting guests outside. Once upstairs in the grand ceremony room (the same room Charles and Camilla were married in) more guests started to arrive and take their seats. Sam kept Graham waiting for a few minutes….as any Bride can! but when she entered the room it was magical. Both were so happy and throughout the ceremony they were laughing and smiling. I was delighted to be able to capture these lovely moments for them.
After the ceremony we headed outside for a confetti shot and then photographed the group shots. After which (as the skies were looking very dark) we quickly took some couple shots down this lovely alley before the heavens opened and it poured down. The four of us ended up getting a taxi to the Boatman were the reception was being held. The intention had been to walk along the high street but the rain was too heavy.
Once we arrived at the Boatman Elise and I captured some more of the atmosphere before the wedding party sat down to eat. After the meal we captured the speeches that were both emotional and very funny. Graham and Sam had decided they wanted to hold their cake cutting and first dance the following evening which give them the chance to invite more guests. After the speeches we said our goodbyes and I would see them the next day!
