Below are a selection of questions we are often asked when clients book their portrait session – however no question is a silly question and if it isn’t listed here please get in contact
I’m so glad you asked! You can email me directly via the contact form or by phone to book your session.
Yes. I frequently travel within Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey as part of the Portrait Packages I offer. I’m very happy to travel anywhere within the UK and Internationally – prices are quoted on request. Shoots inside London require an additional charge to cover the congestion charge. Each package includes a certain amount of travel. If you are unsure please contact Lauren for a quote.
I’m a natural, easy-going, on location photographer. I enjoy capturing genuine moments and I often shoot in parks, client’s gardens and woodlands which make for great photographs due to the endless opportunities available. Together we can choose the perfect location for you.
A portrait session for Packages 2 and 3 lasts an hour. Package 1 lasts 1.5 hours. If you would like to add extra time then this can be arranged before we see you. Each session is arranged so we can maximise the ‘golden hour’ light therefore please ensure you arrive to start on time, allowing for any traffic/parking disruption.
If we are shooting in your home then I prefer late morning because that’s when homes are usually lit up the best. If we are shooting outdoors we will shoot either in the morning or late afternoon. The light is typically too harsh midday and I want the best images for you! The images in my portfolio look the way they do largely because of my use of light and the time of day the session takes place. Many families tell me that they have their kids take a late nap or have some down time prior to their evening session.
I look at each and every image I capture and hand select the best images usually within two weeks of your shoot. I’ll then upload them to your online private gallery where you can choose your favourites included in your package. I’ll then retouch these making sure everyone’s looking their best before uploading these to your gallery ready for download – these are resolution images without a watermark which you can keep forever.
Your wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you are. I do not recommend matching but rather coordinating. You can of course change half way through should you be unable to decide what to wear on the day.
Normally we should book 2 dates for your portrait session – the second is a back-up should it be raining on your 1st date. This is usually sufficient.
On the day you will meet me at our chosen location and I’ll walk with you to particular areas to photograph. It is a very relaxed and flexible session so if you have any ideas I’ll love to hear them.
Of course I do – dogs are very popular. Please bring some treats and any toys your pet loves.
